Supported yoga is a form of yoga that uses props (such as a chair, bolsters, blocks) to help support your body while moving into different yoga poses. Some of the class is done while sitting in a chair or on the ground with support; it also incorporates standing poses, using a chair or a wall for balance. Supported yoga can improve your flexibility, concentration and strength, while boosting your mood, and reducing stress and joint strain. It helps increase your confidence in your physical abilities as you learn to move in new ways with ease and security. This class is for anyone who has limited mobility due to age, injury, or chronic health conditions.
