Sandy Truth is a Reiki Master, NYSL Cosmetologist, herbalist, and owner of her own company, For Claudia's Sayke. She lives for and home-schools her four children. She is a powerfully creative and generative force in the universe; on any given day you might find her welding, wood-working, making steampunk jewelry, gathering healing plants from throughout the U.S., wildcrafting, educating against domestic violence, making all-natural skin care products, or guest speaking. Reiki with Sandy Truth

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that is used to promote healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. 

In a standard treatment, Reiki energy flows from the practitioner's hands into the client. The client is usually laying on a massage table but treatments can also be given while the client is seated or even standing. The client remains fully clothed. The practitioner places her/his hands on or near the clients body in a series of hand positions. 

What one experiences during a Reiki treatment varies from person to person. Most commonly, experiences of deep relaxation are reported. Often people feel refreshed, more positive, and like they have a new outlook on life.
